USO Lounge

2

Open in Terminal 2 for active duty and families only

The USO Lounge in Fort Lauderdale operates in Terminal 2 and only admits active duty military, reserves, Guard, and eligible family members with valid ID. If your flight leaves from Terminal 1, 3, or 4, you still need to pass through Terminal 2 security to reach it, so plan at least 20–30 minutes for that walk and re-clear.

This USO sits airside in Terminal 2, so you must already hold a same-day boarding pass for FLL. Once through security, follow signs toward the Terminal 2 gates used by Delta and a few other carriers; the lounge is typically along the main concourse rather than hidden in a separate concourse. Expect basic seating, TV, and a quieter space than the public gate area, but nothing like a Polaris or Centurion build-out.

Most USO lounges around the country run on donations and volunteers, and FLL’s Terminal 2 location usually follows that pattern with free snacks and non-alcoholic drinks instead of a paid bar. Think packaged chips, simple pastries, and coffee rather than hot restaurant meals at $15–$20 a plate. If you want a proper meal, grab something near the Terminal 2 food court before you sit down here.

Hours at USO lounges vary a lot: many smaller-airport locations run roughly from the first morning departures around 06:00 until early evening, sometimes closing by 20:00–21:00. FLL’s USO in Terminal 2 tends to track that kind of schedule rather than 24/7, so don’t bank on a late-night stay after a red-eye delay. Always check the latest hours on the USO website or by calling the airport before you head over from another terminal.

The FLL USO Lounge is free to eligible guests, which immediately beats paying $59+ for a one-time entry at other Terminal 2 lounges. Space is usually limited, and seating fills fast around banked departures for Delta flights, especially in the 07:00–10:00 and 16:00–19:00 windows. If you’re traveling with kids, try to arrive at least 60 minutes before boarding so you can actually find seats together.

Practical tip: land in another terminal (1, 3, or 4) and want the USO in Terminal 2? Budget at least 30–40 minutes to walk over, pass security again, and still reach your gate 30 minutes before departure.
