United Club

1

Gate-side in Terminal 1, the United Club sits near United’s concourse, so you’re a few minutes’ walk from most FLL United gates.

This United Club is in Terminal 1, after security, so you need a same-day United or Star Alliance boarding pass that departs from T1 to make it worth the stop. It follows standard United Club access rules: memberships, eligible United premium cabins, Star Alliance Gold on international itineraries, and one-time passes. If you’re on Southwest or JetBlue in other terminals (2–4), you can’t realistically use this lounge because you can’t cross between terminals airside.

The space runs typical United Club hours that track United’s schedule in Terminal 1, usually opening early morning before the first bank of departures and closing in the evening after the last wave. Morning visits line up with the heaviest United departure bank, so expect more crowding from about 6:00–9:00 a.m. Midday and late evenings in T1 tend to be calmer, with easier access to seats and power outlets.

Food follows the standard United Club template: basic hot options at peak mealtimes, plus snacks like hummus, veggies, and packaged items. It’s all complimentary, but not a substitute for a full restaurant meal in Terminal 1. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, and a basic house beer and wine list are free, while upgraded spirits and some premium drinks cost extra, usually in the $5–$10 range depending on what you order at the bar.

Seating is mostly traditional lounge chairs and small tables, with power outlets scattered but not at every seat, so charge up early if you board from one of the busier United gates. Wi‑Fi comes through United’s standard Club network and usually runs fast enough for VPN and video calls. Compared with the Terminal 1 concourse seating, this is a quieter spot to catch up on email or take a call before a United flight.

One tip: if your layover is under 45 minutes gate-to-gate in Terminal 1, skip checking in here and head straight to your United gate; use the Club on trips where you have at least an hour to actually sit down, grab a drink, and recharge devices.
