Roadhouse Grill

Near FCO Terminal 3 departures, Roadhouse Grill is your sit-down option

Roadhouse Grill sits in Terminal 3 at Rome Fiumicino, on the airside side of security, so you clear passport control and security first, then eat. It’s a full-service chain steakhouse setup, which is rare in this terminal, surrounded mostly by quick-service counters and coffee bars. Figure on standard airport pricing for Italy: mains generally land higher than what you’d see in town, but still below the priciest spots closer to the long-haul gates.

Terminal 3 handles most non-Schengen and many long-haul flights, so Roadhouse Grill tends to skew to passengers headed to or from North America, the Middle East, or Asia. Menus in these chain locations in Italy usually cover burgers, steaks, ribs, salads, and a few pasta dishes, plus soft drinks, beer, and house wine by the glass. Service pace in FCO T3 restaurants can run 30–60 minutes from sit-down to paid bill, so build that into your pre-boarding timing.

You’ll normally pay at the table and card acceptance covers Visa and Mastercard at a minimum; tap-to-pay terminals are standard in Fiumicino. Expect a sit-down meal here to run roughly €20–€35 per person once you add a main course and a drink. If you only have 45 minutes before a flight from a nearby E or G gate, stick to a burger or salad and skip dessert; T3 walking distances to the far gates can push 10–15 minutes.

Roadhouse Grill follows typical Italian opening patterns inside Terminal 3, often running from late morning through the last evening departures. It’s useful if you’ve landed on a midday arrival and cleared passport control early but can’t check in for a later flight yet, since airside restaurants sometimes open before all retail. One last thing: T3 security and passport lines can spike past 25–30 minutes at peak bank times, so eat after you clear formalities, not before.

Practical tip: aim to be out of Roadhouse Grill 45 minutes before boarding time for Schengen flights from T3, and at least 60 minutes before boarding if you’re walking to the G gates for non-Schengen long-haul.
