€15–€20 pastas at Eataly sit mid-terminal in T3
You’ll find Eataly airside in Terminal 3, past security and passport control, on the main departures concourse. It runs on the $$$ side for an airport meal, but still cheaper than central Rome for comparable quality. Figure around €10 for a glass of house wine, €15–€20 for a pasta, and mains creeping into the €22–€28 range.
This is a local Italian brand, not generic airport food. The menu leans hard into classics: cacio e pepe, amatriciana, carbonara, plus Roman-style pizzas by the slice and full pies. Cold counters stock cured meats, cheeses, and pastries you can grab in under 10 minutes if boarding starts soon. Coffee is proper espresso-based, not filter, and a cappuccino runs about €2–€3.
Service in Terminal 3 can slow down during the 07:00–10:00 and 17:00–20:00 waves, so a seated meal can easily take 40–60 minutes door to door. Staff usually prioritize tight connections if you mention a 30-minute cutoff, but nothing official. If your gate is in the farther 30s, add at least a 10-minute walk from Eataly to your buffer.
Portions run smaller than US standards but normal for Rome; a pasta plus a dessert like tiramisù or cannolo is enough for most. Wine by the glass is mostly Italian DOC labels, and a shared carafe works out to roughly €6–€7 per person. There’s also pre-packed sauces and snacks with Eataly branding if you want edible souvenirs under 100 ml for carry-on rules.
Tip: order at the counter for coffee, pastries, or a quick slice, but sit down with table service only if you have at least 60 minutes before your scheduled boarding time at T3.
