100 meters from Terminal 1, this is FCO’s quick-stop ramp
Multilevel Parking A sits directly in front of Terminal 1 at Rome Fiumicino, marked as short-stay parking and used heavily for drop-offs, pick-ups, and same-day trips. You’re in the terminal doors in roughly 2–3 minutes on foot, with covered access from the garage to the departures level. For Terminal 3, you’re looking at a short walk of about 5–7 minutes depending on which level you park on.
This is a true short-stay setup: pricing is by the hour, and the first few hours usually cost far less than a full day in the long‑term lots. Multilevel Parking A works best for stays under 24 hours, quick meetings in the city, or greeting arriving passengers from flights landing in T1 or T3. If your plans run into multiple days, the official long‑term car parks at FCO (marked Lunga Sosta) almost always come out cheaper than stacking day-rates here.
The structure is multilevel and covered for most spaces, which matters in summer when Rome hits 30°C+ and cars bake in the open. Height limits apply on each level, so check the posted clearance at the entrance if you’re in a van or SUV with a roof box. Pay stations sit by the pedestrian exits and at least one machine on each parking level usually accepts cards and contactless payments; keep your ticket handy because you’ll need it both to pay and to exit.
Access is straightforward: follow airport signs for “Parking A” or “P Terminal 1” once you’re on the Fiumicino ring road, then pick an upper level if you want faster exits back toward the A91 motorway. Traffic at FCO can spike around the busy morning bank of European departures between roughly 06:00 and 09:00, so build in an extra 10–15 minutes to find a space and walk to check-in during those hours.
