Holiday Parking

Long stay

10–15 minutes from Terminals 1 and 3 by shuttle

Holiday Parking at Fiumicino is the airport’s long-stay option, set a short shuttle ride from Terminals 1 and 3. It suits trips of several days or longer, when the on-airport multi-storeys start to get pricey. You park in open-air bays, keep your keys, and walk to the nearest shuttle stop within the lot.

The free shuttle bus runs roughly every 10–15 minutes during the day and links Holiday Parking with Terminals 1 and 3. Allow at least 30 minutes from entering the car park barrier to reaching your check-in desk, especially at peak morning banks for the big European departures.

This is a budget-oriented car park, usually cheaper than the closer long-stay options when you book online in advance. Pricing fluctuates by season and demand, so midweek in August can be noticeably higher than a random Tuesday in November. If you’re leaving the car for a week or more, Holiday Parking often undercuts the terminal garages by a solid margin.

Security is basic but functional: fenced perimeter, controlled entry and exit, and regular staff presence during operating hours. Lighting is stronger along internal roads than in some of the outer rows, so if you arrive late in the evening, aim for bays nearer the main shuttle stops and lighting poles. Take a quick photo of your row sign to avoid a slow search when you return.

Holiday Parking is clearly signposted from the main airport access roads as “Long Stay / Holiday Parking.” Follow those brown-and-white signs early rather than trying to dive into the terminal ramps first. Practical tip: build a 20-minute buffer on your usual FCO arrival time when using this lot, especially if you’re checking bags at Terminal 3.
