FCA Long-Term Parking Guide: Rates, Walk Time & Tips

Parking Overview

For long-term parking at Glacier Park International Airport (FCA), travelers generally use the airport’s on-site lots: the Main Parking Lot (closest to the terminal) and the Overflow/Cell Phone Lot (lower-cost option). While FCA doesn’t label a separate “long-term” facility, both lots support multi-day stays with daily and weekly maximums.

The experience is straightforward: drive up, take a ticket, park, and walk to the terminal. The Main Lot is best for week-long trips when convenience matters and for quick terminal access. The Overflow/Cell Phone Lot is best for budget travelers and longer stays when you want a lower weekly cap.

Pricing

  • Main Parking Lot: First 20 minutes free, then $2 per 20 minutes. Daily max $18; weekly max $108.
  • Overflow/Cell Phone Lot: First 2 hours free, then $2 per 20 minutes. Daily max $15; weekly max $90.

If you’re deciding purely on price, the Overflow lot is the value leader on-site (up to $18/week cheaper than the Main Lot). If you want an off-airport alternative, Glacier International Lodge is often cited as an option with a shuttle and a different price structure (e.g., a multi-day bundle plus a per-day rate), which may be competitive for longer trips depending on your exact length of stay.

Discounts/reservations: FCA parking typically does not require advance reservations, and no official online-booking discounts or loyalty programs are commonly advertised for on-airport parking.

Payment: Expect standard pay-on-exit or pay-station parking payment methods (commonly credit/debit). If you need specifics for receipts, lost tickets, or billing support, parking is managed by Republic Parking at 406-257-6868.

Getting to Your Terminal

  • Main Parking Lot: Adjacent to the terminal—typically a short walk. Plan roughly 2–5 minutes on foot depending on where you park.
  • Overflow/Cell Phone Lot: Farther from the terminal; you may have a longer walk and more weather exposure. Shuttle service is not clearly advertised for these lots, so plan as if you’ll be walking.

Kalispell weather can change quickly, so if you’re traveling with bulky bags, kids, or mobility needs, the Main Lot’s proximity can be worth the higher daily/weekly maximum.

Features & Security

  • Covered parking: No—these are uncovered surface lots.
  • Lighting/security: On-airport lots are generally well-lit and monitored as part of airport operations; for any security concerns or incidents, contact the parking operator.
  • EV charging: No confirmed EV charging information for the on-airport lots.
  • Extras: No on-site car wash or detailing services are typically promoted.
  • Accessibility: Expect marked accessible spaces near terminal access points in the Main Lot; if you need extra assistance, allow time and consider the closest areas.

Booking Tips

  • No reservation needed: Arrive with extra time during peak periods (summer Glacier National Park traffic and holidays), as availability can tighten.
  • Choose based on trip length: For a week, the Overflow lot’s $90 weekly max can be the best on-site deal; for short trips or heavy luggage, the Main Lot can save time.
  • Keep your ticket safe: Lost-ticket procedures can be costly and time-consuming—store it with your ID or in your phone case.
  • If lots are full: Try the Overflow/Cell Phone Lot first for longer stays; if you still need options, consider nearby hotel park-and-shuttle programs.
