Right by the Terminal A exit, this is your last stop
Boardwalk sits at the Terminal A exit, just past the post-security area, and works as a final grab-and-go before you hit the curb. It’s a small travel-essentials setup, more “quick sweep of the racks” than drawn-out shopping trip, so you’re in and out in under 5 minutes if you know what you need.
Expect the usual airport pricing: bottled water running higher than street prices, basic snacks in single-serve packs, and standard travel-sized toiletries. The focus here is core items—think chargers, basic headphones, neck pillows, and over-the-counter meds—rather than souvenirs. If you skipped the Hudson or other shops closer to the A gates, this is your last realistic chance to grab a phone cable or aspirin before leaving EWR.
Hours track most Terminal A operations, typically opening before the first morning bank and staying open through the late-night arrivals, but staffing can tighten toward the very end of the day. If you’re landing on one of the final flights into A after 11:00 pm, don’t bank on this being fully stocked or fully open. Earlier in the evening, the shelves are noticeably better filled, especially on weekdays.
Use Boardwalk for true “I forgot this” runs at the A exit, not for a full snack haul. Do a quick mental checklist at the baggage claim escalators so you know exactly what to grab when you walk past it.
