Starbucks

Most ESB chatter is about lounges, not Starbucks.

Starbucks at Esenboğa International Airport (ESB) runs like any other branch in Turkey: expect the standard espresso menu, Frappuccino lineup, and pastry case with simit or croissants rather than full meals. It sits airside in the passenger zone, so you need a same-day boarding pass to reach it, and prices usually run a few lira higher than downtown Ankara branches. Figure on paying café-level airport pricing for a tall latte or cold brew, not lounge-style freebies.

Plan on typical Starbucks hours that roughly track flight banks, opening early for morning departures and staying open into the late evening while international flights still move. You’ll see the familiar green logo and counter setup, with mobile-order style speed depending on how many flights just dumped passengers into the concourse. Expect the usual Turkish mix of hot drinks and sweets: think filter coffee, espresso drinks, bottled juices, and cakes or cookies, with most items in the 60–150 TRY range based on city pricing trends.

This isn’t a spot that Ankara frequent flyers rave about in reviews; they mostly talk about the Primeclass and Turkish Airlines lounges instead. Starbucks at ESB fills the gap when you don’t have lounge access and still want a predictable caffeine fix before a 06:30 or 22:45 departure. If you’re used to Starbucks in Istanbul or Izmir airports, you’ll find a similar menu and similar wait times once two or three narrow-bodies board at nearby gates.

Tip: if your flight boards by bus rather than jet bridge, grab your drink in a paper cup with a lid and allow at least 10 minutes before boarding time so you’re not juggling a fresh latte while heading down the stairs to the apron coach.
