Open Air Car Park

Economy

Daily rates sit above ₺18 at ESB’s Open Air Car Park

This is Esenboğa’s basic economy-style option, fully open-air and on airport grounds. You park your own car, keep your keys, and pay a daily rate that runs higher than ₺18 per 24 hours, so it suits trips of a couple of days to a week more than a quick pickup. The lot connects straight into the main terminal area, so you’re not dealing with an off-site shuttle run or a long taxi ride back to departures.

Open Air Car Park works as the value tier compared with ESB’s covered and premium areas, but you still get on-foot access to the terminal doors in a few minutes. Pricing is per calendar day, not per hour once you cross the daily threshold, so a 30-hour stay effectively counts as two days at more than ₺36 total. That structure makes short stays pricey but longer trips more predictable from a budgeting point of view.

Because it’s uncovered, cars sit in Ankara’s full sun and winter conditions for the entire stay, so factor in summer heat or ice if you’re leaving the vehicle for 5–7 days. Lighting runs through the lot at night, and airport security patrols the wider ESB campus, but there are no assigned bays or reservation-only zones here. You just follow the signs to the “Open Air” area and pick the first open row you see.

Payment runs through the airport’s standard parking system: you take a ticket at entry, then pay at the machines before exiting. Keep the ticket dry; a lost ticket usually means paying the maximum daily fee, which starts above ₺18 and scales from there. Quick tip: snap a photo of your row number and nearest sign as soon as you park, so you’re not hunting the car with luggage after a late-night arrival.
