Artisan Gallery

Near gates A1–A4, this is ELP’s main local-art stop

Artisan Gallery sits airside in Terminal A, just past security toward gates A1–A4, and leans heavily into El Paso and Southwest themes. You’ll see framed prints, metal art, pottery, and jewelry that skew more “gift for someone at home” than “airport knickknack.” Prices range from about $15 for small souvenirs up to $150+ for larger pieces, so you can burn through leftover per diem fast if you’re not paying attention.

The shop usually opens by around 5:00 a.m. to catch the first wave of American and United departures from Terminal A, and it stays open into the early evening bank. Morning is quieter; by the 4:00–6:00 p.m. rush around gates A3–A5, you may be weaving around rolling bags inside the store. If you’re on a tight 30-minute connection, this is a “walk-by and scan the window” stop, not a browse.

Inventory runs from El Paso-branded mugs and shot glasses under $20 to regional crafts, leather goods, and wall art that run well into double or triple digits. If you want something packable, focus on prints, small ceramics, or jewelry near the front counters; big metal pieces and framed art can be awkward on full A320 and 737 overhead bins. No food or drinks here, so grab snacks from nearby newsstands by gates A2 or A4 instead.

Plan it as your last stop before boarding: walk down toward your exact gate first, check the monitor for any gate change, then backtrack to Artisan Gallery so you’re never more than a two-minute walk from A1–A5 when your group number comes up.
