Tia's Tex-Mex

Tex-Mex

B Open · 4:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Daily ★ 5 $$$$ Landside

Only Tex-Mex inside Concourse B, open 4:30 a.m. sharp

Tia’s Tex-Mex sits landside in Terminal B’s food court, before security, so you need to factor in TSA time if you stop here. Hours run daily from 4:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., which covers the first bank of morning departures but not late-night flights. Price-wise it’s a solid $$: not cheap, but in line with airport food at ELP.

This is the only Tex-Mex option in Concourse B, so it’s your closest shot at local-ish flavors without leaving the terminal. Regulars point to the breakfast burritos and tacos as the safest move; one Google reviewer calls the breakfast burritos “decent for airport food.” Expect basic fillings like eggs, potatoes, and bacon rather than anything you’d hunt down in town.

Outside breakfast, you’ll see the standard tacos and burritos lineup. Several reviews complain that seasoning is tame compared with El Paso spots along I-10, and that portion sizes feel small for what you pay. Another reviewer flat out says it’s “not authentic El Paso Mexican by any stretch,” but still an upgrade over generic burgers and pizza elsewhere in the terminal.

What regulars do: hit Tia’s between about 5:00 and 9:00 a.m., grab a breakfast taco or burrito to go, and then clear security into B. People who know the local food scene don’t treat this like a destination; they treat it like a quick fuel stop when there’s no time for a ride out to Montana Ave or Mesa Street.

Watch out for: it’s pre-security, so if you show up at 5:15 p.m. for a 6:30 p.m. flight, you’re cutting it close on both food and TSA. Lines stack up in the early morning rush, and with the 6:00 p.m. closing time, you’re out of luck for dinner. Tip: if your flight is in B, aim to order at least 60 minutes before boarding to keep your buffer intact.
