Most ELH regulars talk about food across the road, not “Small Café.”
North Eleuthera Airport is tiny, with just a couple of check-in counters and short security lines, and almost every trip report mentions walking outside for snacks or sandwiches. Small Café shows up on some airport lists, but travelers don’t clearly confirm a signed spot with that exact name inside the terminal. Treat it as “there might be a kiosk or small counter,” not a guaranteed sit-down meal.
ELH usually handles only a handful of flights a day from airlines like American, Delta, and Bahamasair, and departures tend to bunch up in late morning and early afternoon. That timing matters because any on-site café presence typically tracks flight banks. Don’t expect late-night service, and don’t count on a full breakfast menu at 6:00 a.m. Bring a snack from Harbour Island or Gregory Town if your flight is outside peak times.
Prices across Eleuthera skew higher than US fast food; a basic sandwich in nearby settlements often runs around $10–$15, and airport-markup drinks can push bottled water into the $3–$4 range. If Small Café is operating inside the terminal, assume simple counter-service items in that price band: packaged chips, maybe a premade sandwich, sodas or juice, and possibly local beers during legal hours.
Most ELH reviews on Flightradar24 and travel blogs instead name Aqualoft Boutique Café, positioned opposite the airport across Queen’s Highway, and say you can walk there in about 3–5 minutes. That spot reportedly does espresso-style coffee and light bites, so it’s the safer bet if you have 60–90 minutes before boarding and don’t mind stepping outside the airport compound once you’ve checked in.
Practical tip: plan as if Small Café might not be operating; eat in town before you reach ELH, then use any terminal stand only for last-minute drinks or a snack top-up under $20.
