Airport Parking Lot

Surface lot

Single surface lot, single terminal

North Eleuthera Airport is tiny, and the Airport Parking Lot is just a basic surface area in front of the terminal, used by locals, private cars, and rental companies. There’s no multi-storey garage, no shuttle, and no separate long-term vs short-term sections. You pull up, park in an open space facing the small terminal building, and walk a minute or two to check-in.

There’s no posted daily rate, pay machine, or boom gate here; this is not a US-style commercial airport product. Most visitors arrive by taxi from Harbour Island or Spanish Wells, and many rental agencies hand over cars right in this same lot. If you’re leaving a car, you’re basically doing what residents do: pick a sensible spot in the main open area and lock up.

Lighting is limited to a few poles around the terminal, and there are no marked covered spots or numbered rows in the Airport Parking Lot. It sits directly in front of the single terminal building used by flights to Nassau, Miami, and a handful of other points. You don’t need to plan extra time for trams or buses; stepping out of your car to the small departures entrance is under 100 meters.

Security is informal: there are no cameras visibly covering every space, and no staffed parking office or patrol dedicated to the lot. The feel is closer to leaving your car at a small island airstrip than at a major airport. If you’re parking for more than a day or two, ask your hotel or rental company before you commit to leaving a vehicle here.

Tip: flights often bunch up around late morning and early afternoon, so arrive at least 60 minutes before departure to find a practical spot in the open lot and still clear the small check-in line without stress.
