Concourse A in T3 is where Dubai Duty Free really sprawls out
Dubai Duty Free in Terminal 3 runs along all three concourses (A, B, and C), so you’ll pass it more than once if you’re on an Emirates connection. Shelves run straight down the central walkways, and it’s all post-security, so no time lost backtracking. Think supermarket-sized liquor, tobacco, perfume, and chocolate sections built straight into the terminal corridor.
Prices on liquor and tobacco usually undercut downtown Dubai by a noticeable margin, and you’ll see big promos on 1L bottles and twin-packs right by the tills. Perfume and cosmetics run closer to European high-street pricing, but you do get frequent “buy 2, get 1” offers. Tech gear (headphones, adapters, cables) lives in separate pods; expect airport markups, but if your USB-C cable dies at 02:00, this is where you fix it.
Opening hours are 24/7 across T3, including the big walk-through sections between gates A1–A8 and B10–B22, which helps on those 03:30 departures. Payment is easy: cards, contactless, and UAE dirhams all work, and change comes back in AED. They also take a bunch of foreign currencies, but the exchange rate isn’t great, so use a card if you can.
Tip: if you’re short on time before boarding from an A-gate, hit the smaller Dubai Duty Free island right by A13 instead of the massive store near the train; you’ll get the same chocolate and cigarettes with a two-minute detour instead of ten.
