Pret A Manger

Pret A Manger sits in the departures area at DWC

Pret A Manger at Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) is in the departures side of the terminal, after security, so you can grab food once you’re through checks and watching the gate screens. It runs on the standard Pret model: pre-made sandwiches, wraps, pastries, snacks, and barista coffee, all in chilled cases you can scan through in under two minutes.

Pricing runs in the typical airport range for Dubai, with most sandwiches landing in the mid-20s to low-30s AED and coffee usually under 20 AED for a basic latte. That’s cheaper than a sit-down spot in DXB, and it helps if you just want something quick before a low-cost carrier flight out of DWC.

Food is grab-and-go cold: think chicken salad sandwiches, tuna baguettes, egg mayo, falafel wraps, plus cakes, brownies, and croissants in the 8–18 AED band. There’s also yogurt pots, fruit cups, and crisps, so you can build a full meal without waiting on a kitchen ticket number being called.

Drinks cover the Pret standards: espresso-based coffee, a few iced options, basic teas, and bottled soft drinks and water. You won’t find alcohol here, but you can walk out with a coffee in under five minutes, even when a single departures bank pushes a full A320 load into the line.

Seating is limited, and during peak afternoon departure waves (roughly 14:00–18:00), tables fill up fast, so plan on taking your food back toward your gate if you see more than 8–10 people ahead of you in line. Staff turn stock quickly, which helps keep sandwiches feeling fresher than the label’s time stamp might suggest.

Tip: if your boarding time is inside 25 minutes, skip hot drinks and grab a cold bottle and a packaged sandwich so you’re not stuck waiting on the coffee machine when your gate starts “final call.”
