Gate-side trim in T1 without leaving the departures level

The Grafton Barber sits in Dublin Airport Terminal T1, open daily from 09:00 to 18:00, so it actually lines up with most daytime departures to the UK and Europe. It’s a straightforward, traditional barbershop setup: quick cuts, beard tidy-ups, and neck clean-ups between security and your gate. Expect walk-in service more than heavy pre-booking culture here, so have a backup plan if you’re tight on time.

Pricing runs in the typical airport range – more than a city-centre Grafton Street branch, but not outrageous compared to what you’d pay in London or Paris terminals. Figure on a standard men’s cut being closer to “short taxi ride into town” money than “impulse coffee” money. If your layover in T1 is over an hour, a basic shape-up or beard trim is realistic; under 45 minutes, you’re cutting it close once you factor in boarding calls.

The shop keeps the same 09:00–18:00 hours Monday through Sunday, so early Ryanair and Aer Lingus departures out of T1 won’t catch it open, and late-night transatlantic connections through T2 won’t help you either. It’s a better fit for mid-morning to late-afternoon flights when you’ve already cleared security and don’t want to leave the terminal.

One practical tip: ask at the counter for a realistic finish time before you sit down, especially if you’re boarding from the far end of T1. If they quote more than 25–30 minutes and your gate closes in under an hour, reschedule the tidy-up for your next DUB pass instead of stressing the walk to boarding.
