Gate-side in T1, Dublin Airport Duty Free runs daily 04:00-21:00
This is the main duty free just past security in T1, so you hit it between the central security lanes and most Ryanair and short-haul gates. It opens at 04:00 and shuts at 21:00, which covers the early UK hops and most evening Europe departures but misses late-night outliers.
Pricing is standard EU duty free: decent breaks on spirits and some cosmetics compared with city-centre Irish shops, but tobacco discounts matter most if you’re heading outside the EU. Expect the usual big-brand whisky, gin, and perfume walls, stacked higher than anything you’ll see landside in T1.
Think quick grab, not leisurely browsing. You can walk through, pick up a 1L bottle, and be back at a T1 gate in under 10 minutes if you keep moving. Shelves near the front skew to Irish whiskey and Baileys, deeper in you get confectionery and skincare in larger promo packs.
Nothing specific jumps out as a “skip this” item, but the gift-sleeved minis and giant chocolate tins tend to be worse value per unit than regular 1L bottles or standard-size boxes. If you care about price, do a 20-second unit-price check on the shelf labels before you load up.
Tip: if you need liquids for a T1 connection, buy here after security rather than trying to carry anything through from landside; you keep your 100ml bag for later checks and avoid repacking at the belt.
