Frequent flyers still call it the “T1 Lounge,” not Martello
The Martello Lounge sits airside in Dublin T1 and keeps the same footprint regulars still describe as the generic “T1 Lounge,” despite the newer branding. It opens early at 04:00 and closes at 21:30, so it catches the first wave of UK and European departures out of T1 and most evening flights too.
You’ll find it after security in T1, up the escalators following signs for “Lounge.” Wayfinding in DUB T1 still tends to say “T1 Lounge” rather than Martello, so follow the terminal signage, not the name on your Priority Pass app. Build in at least 10–15 minutes from most Schengen/UK gates in T1 to get up there, use the washroom, grab food, and head back down.
Access runs through Priority Pass plus paid day passes starting from €46 at the desk, which is roughly the price of two mains and a drink elsewhere in T1. If you already hold Priority Pass via a credit card, the value proposition is strongest on longer layovers of 90 minutes or more when you can sit, charge devices, and graze on multiple rounds of snacks.
The Martello Lounge follows the standard DAA lounge template you’ll know from old T1 Lounge photos: self‑service food, soft drinks, coffee machines, and basic seating in one open space. Think light breakfast bites before those 06:00–08:00 departures and simple cold options later in the day rather than anything that replaces a full restaurant meal. Alcohol is typically limited to standard wines and beers rather than premium labels.
Day pass buyers at €46 should mentally compare this with grabbing food and a drink at the T1 food court or bar, which can easily run to €25–€35 per person. The extra spend above that mainly buys quieter seating, power outlets, and Wi‑Fi. If your layover is under 60 minutes door‑to‑gate, the math starts to look weaker unless the terminal is extremely crowded.
The Martello name barely appears in community reports, where everything still gets grouped under “T1 Lounge,” so don’t expect a separate premium enclave or significantly upgraded fit‑out. Treat this as the standard DAA contract lounge for Terminal T1 and you’ll walk in with realistic expectations.
One tip: if you’re on an early flight before 06:30 and plan to use a paid day pass, eat something small in the terminal first and treat the lounge as a quiet coffee and Wi‑Fi stop rather than your only breakfast plan.
