The Liffey Lounge

T1 Open · 04:00—21:00 Day pass From €37

Most flyers still call this the generic T1 lounge.

The Liffey Lounge sits airside in Dublin T1, open from 04:00 to 21:00, but in most forum threads it’s just “the T1 lounge” or “the DAA lounge,” so don’t expect big-brand personality or airline-specific theming.

Access is via Priority Pass or a paid day pass starting at €37; if you only have 45–60 minutes before boarding, run the math against a sit-down meal in T1, where a basic airport breakfast can easily hit €18–€20 with coffee.

This is landside vs airside sensitive: The Liffey Lounge is after security in Terminal 1, so it’s useless if you’re flying out of T2 on Aer Lingus mainline or connecting into US preclearance, and you can’t lounge-hop between terminals once you’re through security.

Food runs to standard DAA lounge fare: simple hot items at peak mealtimes, pastries and snacks through the day, and self-serve drinks, with reviewers often comparing it directly to “the T1 lounge” in threads about short-haul BA and Ryanair flights rather than as a distinct branded space.

Alcohol is included in the entry price, with beer, wine and basic spirits on self-pour, which means that during evening departures from 17:00–20:00 the bar area can feel more like a pre-flight pub stop than the quiet side-room suggested by the more premium-sounding Liffey name.

Seating fills fast in the early morning wave for 06:00–08:00 departures, when multiple UK and Schengen flights go at once, so power outlets are the first thing to disappear; if you need to charge a laptop, grab a seat near the walls as soon as you walk in.

Regulars on Flyertalk threads about DUB T1 often talk in terms of “any lounge is better than the gate” for short European hops, and that framing fits here: use the Liffey Lounge as a spot for Wi‑Fi, a light meal and a drink before Ryanair or BA Euro Traveller, not as a destination in its own right.

Tip: with doors open from 04:00, this is one of the few places in T1 where you can reliably get coffee, seating and sockets before the first wave of landside cafés fully spins up, so head straight here after security on very early departures.
