Blue Deck

Short-term parking

Non-Delta flyers use Blue Deck as their “attached garage.”

Blue Deck sits at the Evans Terminal side of DTW, across from the terminal and linked by a short 3-minute covered walk to check-in. It’s the short-term option here, filling the same role Big Blue Deck does in conversations: a simple way for non-Delta passengers to park right at the terminal instead of using an off-site lot or shuttle.

Rates match typical DTW short-term pricing for attached garages, so expect to pay more than the Green or Yellow surface lots, but less than a last-minute curbside valet. The airport lists it as short-term parking, so it makes sense for stays measured in hours or a couple of days rather than week-long trips. If you’re doing a 1-day out-and-back from Evans, this is the garage that keeps things painless.

Access is straightforward: follow signs for Evans Terminal and then for Blue Deck as you approach I-94 exit 198. The deck is directly connected to the terminal walkway, so once you park, it’s a 3-minute walk to ticket counters and TSA. No shuttle timing, no waiting in the cold, and you roll your bag straight from your car to the elevators and into the bridge.

Because it’s the attached option for Evans, Blue Deck can fill faster on Monday mornings and Sunday nights when non-Delta carriers like American and Spirit push more departures. If you’re hitting a 6:00 a.m. flight, build in an extra 10–15 minutes in case you need to circle a level or two for a space. One practical move: note your level and row as soon as you park—snap a photo on your phone so you’re not wandering the deck after a late return flight.
