Garage Daily (Long Term) sits directly next to the DSM terminal, with a covered walk of about 3 minutes into Terminal 1. Rates run $2 per hour, capped at $21 per day, so it lands between the cheaper economy lots and the pricier Hourly Garage. Think short business trips or 2–4 day family runs where you want to park once, keep the car dry, and walk inside under cover.

This is proper long-stay parking, not the turnover-focused Hourly Garage. Once you pull into Garage Daily, follow signs for long-term levels and watch the row markers so you can actually find your car after a 4-day work trip. If you’re staying more than a few hours but under a week, the daily cap at $21 usually undercuts Hourly Garage pricing while giving you nearly the same 2–3 minute terminal walk.

Some reviews call out tight lanes on upper levels, especially for full-size trucks and larger SUVs. Stalls closest to the elevators and stairs go first, particularly during Monday morning business waves and evening departure peaks around 5–7 p.m. If you’re driving a bigger vehicle, plan on going up an extra level or two and give yourself an extra 5 minutes to loop and park.

Regular DSM flyers mention using Garage Daily in winter so they’re not scraping ice at 11 p.m. in January, then switching to the cheaper economy lots for week-long July trips. The tradeoff is simple math: $21 per day for a 3-day trip and a 3-minute covered walk, versus a lower daily rate plus a shuttle ride from the outer lots.

Tip: If you’re on an early morning flight, aim for lower levels near the terminal-facing side first; those spots cut your walk to under 2–3 minutes and make late-night returns easier when you’re tired and just want to drive home.
