New BBQ food truck at Dresden Airport with limited hours
Out front of Terminal T at Dresden Airport, Foodtruck “Falks BBQ Catering” runs like a pop-up: only Monday and Thursday, 11:00–14:00. It sits landside, so you reach it before security, which makes it more of a pre-check-in lunch stop than a gate sprint option.
This is a straight BBQ truck, not a sit-down restaurant. Expect meat-in-a-bun basics and grilled items rather than a long menu; current listings even repeat the name in place of a formal price tier, so assume mid-range street-food pricing instead of a €3 snack or €30 steakhouse bill. Bring a card and some cash, since payment options at small German trucks can be hit-or-miss.
Hours are tight: Monday 11:00–14:00, Thursday 11:00–14:00, and that’s it. No evenings, no weekends, no late lunches after a 15:00 arrival. If you land on a Tuesday or fly out on a Saturday, this truck simply doesn’t exist for you, so have a backup plan inside Terminal T.
Post-security this place doesn’t help you at all, as it sits outside the screening point. If you want BBQ before a Schengen departure, build in an extra 15–20 minutes to eat and then clear security in T. With no confirmed indoor seating attached to the truck, assume you’re standing, grabbing a bench, or taking food back into the terminal lobby.
There are no solid traveller reviews yet on FlyerTalk, Reddit, or the big restaurant sites, which usually means the operation is either very new or mainly serving airport staff from Terminal T. That lack of data cuts both ways: no horror stories, but also no famous “must-order” dish to chase.
Use it as a quick grill stop if your Monday or Thursday flight from Dresden isn’t before 09:00 or after 15:00, and always double-check the truck is actually open when you step out of the terminal.
