EV Chargers

Southeast of parking lot P2 is where Dresden Airport hides its official EV chargers.

These dedicated electric car charging points sit just southeast of the main P2 parking area for Terminal T, so plan on a short walk from P2 into the terminal once you’ve plugged in. The airport lists them simply as “Charging Electric Cars,” with no published day rate or kWh tariff, so you’ll be relying on the on-site signage or your charging app for pricing details. If you already know how German public charging usually works, this setup feels familiar.

Dresden Airport does not publish exact connector types, charging speeds, or stall counts for this EV zone south-east of P2, and there’s no official map beyond the basic icon near long-term and P2 on airport diagrams. Expect a standard public-network approach: you bring your own RFID card or app, start the session, and then leave the car while you walk to Terminal T. Because there’s no clear airport day cap or bundled “park + charge” tariff online, budget for standard public-network pricing instead of discounted airport-only rates.

There are no public reviews with hard numbers on availability or reliability of these chargers, unlike the better-documented long-term parking that sits about a 10‑minute walk from Terminal T. That means no crowdsourced advice on peak times, blocked bays, or charger faults specific to the P2-adjacent area. For now, this zone works best for drivers who already juggle multiple German networks and can quickly switch apps or cards if the first one fails to start a session.

Tip: before you drive in, check your usual charging apps for live status around the airport and save at least one backup fast charger in Dresden in case the southeast-of-P2 units are offline or occupied.
