Gate-side Godiva fix in the Main Terminal

Right in Hamad International Airport’s Main Terminal, Godiva runs as a pure grab-and-go chocolate stop for long-haul layovers. It’s post-security, so you can walk over from most gates in under 10 minutes. This is the standard Brussels-born brand: boxed pralines, chocolate bars, and seasonal tins stacked floor-to-ceiling, plus some pre-packed biscuits and cocoa.

Pricing sits at typical Gulf-airport duty free levels: expect small tablet bars around 15–20 QAR and larger gift boxes easily crossing 100 QAR. You’re paying a premium for branding and airport rent, not surprise value. If you just need a quick sweet hit for yourself, single bars and minis make more sense than the oversized presentation boxes.

Selection skews toward giftable items: the gold ballotin-style boxes, 16- and 32-piece assortments, and ribboned tins. If you like darker chocolate, check labels and aim for the 72% and higher bars; milk-heavy assortments dominate the front displays. Shelf-life dates are printed clearly on the bottom of each box, so flip before you buy.

Watch timing if your flight leaves late at night; some sections of the Main Terminal thin out after 01:00, and staff here sometimes start closing displays 20–30 minutes before official shop shut. Card payments in QAR work smoothly, and most major foreign cards process without extra PIN prompts.

Tip: If you’re buying gifts for multiple people, it’s usually cheaper to grab one big Godiva assortment box and split it later than to buy three or four of the smaller 6–8 piece boxes.
