It sits in the same terminal complex as Qatar’s big-name lounges but clearly targets non–Qatar Airways premium and credit‑card traffic looking for a seat, Wi‑Fi, and a snack between flights.

Capacity is smaller than Al Mourjan and reviews call it noticeably quieter, which matters during DOH’s late‑night bank around 23:00–02:00. Expect standard lounge seating, work tables with outlets at most chairs, and functional Wi‑Fi good enough for streaming and calls. It feels more like a typical Priority Pass setup than a flagship Gulf carrier lounge.

Food runs to a straightforward buffet: think a handful of hot dishes, cold cuts, salad, bread, and small desserts rather than made‑to‑order mains. Drinks mean self‑serve soft drinks and coffee machines; alcohol policies vary by contract and time, so don’t bank on a full bar at 03:00. If you care about restaurant‑level dining, Al Mourjan in the Main Terminal is still the benchmark and offers a much bigger spread.

Hours track the airport’s 24‑hour operations, making this one of the few spaces you can duck into on a 02:45 departure or 05:10 arrival. The catch: reviews split between an “old” Al Maha with showers and a newer space without, both under similar branding. If you absolutely need a shower, ask staff at reception which Al Maha location still has them before you scan a card.

Regulars treat Al Maha as a grab‑and‑go base: 20–40 minutes for a plate from the buffet, a charging spot for a USB‑C cable, and a quick freshen‑up before moving back toward their gate. Flyers who know the layout sometimes walk a few extra minutes to track down the “old” Al Maha with showers when Oryx Lounge is full or sold out for day‑pass buyers.

Practical tip: if your card opens both Al Maha and Oryx, walk past the first lounge you see and check current wait times at each; in peak overnight waves, the smaller footprint here fills fast and a five‑minute walk can mean actually getting a seat.
