Short Term Parking P1

Covered

2–3 minute walk from Passenger Terminal doors

Short Term Parking P1 sits directly in front of the Passenger Terminal at King Fahd International Airport, and it’s the closest general-use car park to check-in. It’s a covered structure, so your car stays out of the Dammam sun while you walk straight into departures in a couple of minutes. If you’re dropping someone for a Saudia or flynas flight and plan to help with bags, this is the lot that keeps the walk short.

This is true short-stay parking: rates are higher than the long-term surface lots farther from the terminal, but you trade riyals for time and shade. P1 works best for stays of a few hours up to a day; anything longer and the remote lots usually beat it on price. The covered design across multiple levels also means more protection from summer temperatures that regularly push past 40°C.

P1 serves the single Passenger Terminal used for almost all DMM airlines, so you don’t have to guess which side of the airport to use. You drive straight toward the main building, follow signs for "P1 Short Term", pull a ticket at the barrier, and park on any open level under the roof. Elevators run between parking floors and the terminal access bridge, so rolling large suitcases or pushing a stroller is manageable.

There’s no shuttle for P1 because you genuinely don’t need one at this distance, which is a big plus late at night or in heavy humidity. Spaces can fill up during peak evening departure waves around 20:00–01:00, especially near elevator cores. One practical tip: snap a quick photo of your level and section number before walking to the terminal so you’re not hunting for the car after a long flight back into Dammam.
