Terminal pickups run from Doors 2–5 at every DFW terminal
Uber runs 24/7 at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, with pickups at Terminals A, B, C, D, and E on the arrivals level near Doors 2–5 (follow the “Ride App Pickup” signs). Rideshare is allowed at the curb, so you don’t need a shuttle or separate lot.
From Terminal A, B, C, D, or E, you request Uber like normal in the app and then match the car by license plate and driver name. DFW is big, with five terminals, so double-check the terminal letter in the app before you confirm a pickup to avoid a driver waiting at the wrong curb.
Uber offers multiple service tiers at DFW, from basic options like UberX up through premium categories, and pricing uses the usual dynamic system based on demand and distance. Surge pricing can hit during 7–9 a.m. and 4–7 p.m. when DFW’s banks of American flights crowd the arrivals lanes, so check the fare estimate before you tap “Confirm.”
If you land late in Terminal D or E on an international flight, you still use the same Uber process once you exit customs and reach the public arrivals hall. After clearing immigration and customs in D or E, follow signage to the lower level curb marked for ride app pickups, then select your exact terminal and door in the Uber app so the driver can pull into the correct zone.
DFW sits about 20 miles from downtown Dallas and roughly 22 miles from downtown Fort Worth, so expect the app’s estimated ride time to fall in the 25–40 minute range in normal traffic. Because toll roads like TX-183 and TX-121 feed the airport, your fare may include tolls that show itemized in the Uber receipt.
One last tip: set your pickup point after you reach baggage claim in Terminal A, B, C, D, or E, not while you’re still taxiing to the gate, so your driver’s 5–7 minute arrival window lines up with you actually getting to the curb.
