From Terminal B, TEXRail reaches Fort Worth in about 50 minutes
TEXRail is a commuter rail line linking Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to Fort Worth’s T&P Station in roughly 50 minutes. The airport stop is at Terminal B, DFW Airport Station, on the lower level near Gate B47 and the Terminal B DART/TEXRail station entrance. Trains run every 30 minutes most of the day, with reduced frequency late at night and early morning.
A standard adult one-way TEXRail fare typically costs a few dollars, much less than most rideshares or taxis from DFW to downtown Fort Worth. Fares are paid through Trinity Metro ticket machines at the station or via mobile app; buy before boarding to avoid violations. Kids, seniors, and some other groups usually get discounted fares, but check the current Trinity Metro schedule and fare table before you ride.
From terminals A, C, D, or E, you reach TEXRail by taking the free SkyLink train or terminal shuttles to Terminal B; typical transfer time terminal-to-terminal is 10–20 minutes depending on walking and wait times. Once in Terminal B, follow signs for “Rail to Fort Worth” and “TEXRail / TRE / DART” down to the ground transport level. The rail station sits landside, so if you arrive from an international flight in Terminal D, you only pass through customs once, then can use the airport train or bus to connect to B.
TEXRail trains run from early morning into late evening; on many days the first departures leave around 4–5 a.m. and the last around 11 p.m. to midnight from DFW Airport Station. Service can shift for holidays or maintenance windows, and weekend frequencies sometimes differ from weekday schedules, so check same-day departure times before you head down from your gate.
The line stops at several intermediate stations between DFW Airport and Fort Worth, including North Richland Hills/Smithfield and Grapevine/Main Street, which is roughly 5 miles from Grapevine Mills. If you are connecting to Amtrak or other Trinity Metro routes at Fort Worth T&P or Fort Worth Central, allow at least 10–15 minutes buffer time at the end of your rail trip to move between platforms or bus bays.
Practical tip: If your flight lands after 10 p.m., check the last TEXRail departure from DFW Airport Station before leaving the gate area; missing the final train for the night means paying for a rideshare or taxi from Terminal B instead.
