DFW Duty Free

D

Gate D20 sits roughly mid-terminal from DFW Duty Free’s storefront.

This shop sits airside in Terminal D, between long-haul gates, so it mainly catches international traffic heading out of D10–D31. It’s the standard duty-free mix: liquor, fragrance, cosmetics, and a few impulse snacks stacked near the registers. Figure 5–10 minutes to walk here from the D SkyLink stop, and another 5–15 minutes to actually browse if you’re serious about pricing.

Alcohol is the main draw: you’ll see 1L bottles of major whisky and tequila brands running roughly 15–25% less than downtown Dallas, especially on multi-bottle promos. Fragrance testers line one whole wall; big names like Dior, Chanel, and Versace sit at the front, with travel sets and minis under $40 closer to the aisles. Chocolate gift boxes and tins of cookies sit near the entrance, usually under $20 and easy to toss in a carry-on.

Selection leans heavily on global bestsellers, so don’t expect rare bottles or niche perfume lines here. Staff usually handle duty-free export paperwork quickly, but you still have to allow boarding to start around T‑30 at most D‑gates. Prices are posted in USD and tagged clearly, which makes quick comparison against what you’ve seen at home pretty painless.

Plan your stop on the way to security, not from it: hit SkyLink to Terminal D first, walk the 3–4 minutes from the train to DFW Duty Free, then head toward your exact gate so you are in line when boarding starts.
