Level 1 garage spots at DFW put EV chargers right next to the terminals
DFW’s EV Charging Stations sit in the terminal garages, so you park within a short walk of terminals A, B, C, D, or E instead of taking a remote shuttle. Chargers are in marked spaces on the lower garage levels, usually near elevators and terminal access doors, so you’re rolling bags toward check-in in under 5 minutes.
Pricing tracks the standard terminal garage rate, which at DFW typically runs higher than remote lots but keeps you steps from the doors. You pay regular parking fees at the exit plaza; the charging itself is usually included, but always check the posted rate signs at the garage entrance and at the EV bay before plugging in.
Stations use standard J1772 connectors at most terminals, so regular plug-in hybrids and many non-Tesla EVs work with no extra gear. Tesla drivers generally need a J1772 adapter, which costs around $50 if you buy one ahead of time; don’t count on the airport to provide adapters at the stand.
Most chargers are Level 2 units, which means roughly 20–30 km (about 10–20 miles) of range per hour depending on your car. Plan on several hours, not minutes, if you land at 10% and want to leave with a near-full battery after a long-haul flight out of Terminal D or an overnight trip from Terminal C.
One practical tip: take a quick photo of the garage level, section number, and nearest terminal door (A21, B9, etc.) when you park. The EV spots all look the same on return at 11 p.m., and that photo saves a tired loop through the terminal garages.
