Capital One Lounge

D · D22 showers Day pass $65

Turkish, Finnair and other non-OW business passengers all get routed here at D22, and that tells you the food and drink are serious.

The Capital One Lounge sits across from gate D22 in Terminal D and often replaces airline-branded business lounges for at least 4–5 international carriers, including Turkish Airlines and Finnair. Access is free for Venture X cardholders, while Venture and Spark Miles cardholders can buy in at a discount, and everyone else pays the standard $65 day pass. Doors generally track long-haul schedules, so expect it open early morning through late evening, even if exact hours shift with D-bank waves.

Food here runs closer to Centurion quality than typical airline club snacks, which is why FlyerTalk regulars push it over other DFW options when flying out of D. The main buffet near D22 usually has hot dishes plus cold salads, and there’s a separate station with barista-style coffee and better-than-average desserts. Drinks include cocktails, wine, and beer poured at a staffed bar, which many say beats what you’ll find in nearby airline clubs in Terminals A–C.

A big draw: actual amenities beyond seating and plugs. The lounge has shower suites, a relaxation zone with rest pods, and even indoor cycling/yoga rooms that NerdWallet had to point out because many first-timers walk straight to the buffet and miss them. Regulars planning to shower or stretch build in at least a 90-minute buffer, especially before evening departures to places like Istanbul.

Crowds swing hard based on airline banks. FlyerTalk users note that just before Turkish and other partner flights, the room can feel more packed than its size at D22 suggests, with lines forming for showers and food. Mid-mornings (after the first wave of Europe/Latin America flights) and late evenings tend to feel calmer, while the mid-day period gets clogged by a mix of Venture X cardholders and contract premium-cabin passengers.

Regulars on Turkish or other non-oneworld carriers intentionally use Capital One over generic contract rooms because their business-class boarding pass gets them in here anyway, and the spread usually beats what they’d get elsewhere in D. Some even shift connections into Terminal D from terminals A or C if they have at least a 2-hour layover, rather than burning time in smaller airline clubs with weaker showers and snacks.

Tip: If you’re paying the full $65 day pass, time your visit for a quieter mid-morning or late-evening window and hit the showers or rest pods first, before you even look at the buffet.
