Ten to twenty minutes gets you from DEN to the Tower Road hotels
If you’re staying along Tower Road or Peña Boulevard and not heading downtown, the free hotel shuttles out of Denver International (DEN) are the easy play. Most nearby hotels run courtesy buses that cover the 10–20 minute trip from the Jeppesen Terminal for $0, folded into your room rate.
Pickup is on Level 5, island 3, outside doors 504–512 (east) and 505–513 (west) of the Jeppesen Terminal, in the same general zone as “Hotel Shuttles” and “Courtesy Vehicles” signs. Look for vans with the hotel name on the side; a lot of the Tower Road properties use white Ford or Chevy minibuses that pull up in marked lanes every 30 minutes on paper.
Most hotels near DEN advertise a shuttle frequency of about every 30 minutes, but reviews mention waits stretching to 45–60 minutes at night when runs are skipped. Several guests report that properties along Tower Road and near Peña Boulevard unofficially thin out service after 10 p.m., even if the website says “24-hour shuttle.”
Cost is straightforward: the ride is comped by almost all DIA-area hotels, with no per-person fee and no separate ticket required. Tipping a couple of dollars per bag in cash is still standard in Denver, especially on the shared vans that can fill all 10–14 seats during morning bank departures.
Hidden catch: some hotels require advance reservations for early-morning shuttles between about 3:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Multiple reviews mention guests missing a 4:00 a.m. bus because they didn’t book it at check-in, then paying $25–$40 for rideshare back to DEN at the last minute.
Complaints cluster around three themes: full vans at 6–8 a.m., shuttles running 15–20 minutes off the printed schedule, and confusion between east and west side pickup doors on Level 5. A few brands also share one shuttle between two sister properties, which can turn a 10-minute hop into a 25-minute loop with three hotel stops.
Regulars call the front desk as soon as wheels touch down to confirm the next shuttle time, especially after 10:00 p.m., and then head straight to Level 5 to avoid missing a run. Some business travelers skip the free ride entirely for 5:00–7:00 a.m. flights and spend for Uber or Lyft instead, trading $20–$35 for a guaranteed departure.
Practical tip: at check-in, lock in both your shuttle time and which side of the Jeppesen Terminal (east vs west, specific door number) you’ll be dropped at or picked up from; write down the time and door on your boarding pass so you’re not guessing at 4:30 a.m.
