Terminal 2’s “Sky Lounge” is more rumor than reviewed space

All the hard data says Sky Lounge in Terminal 2 runs 5:00 to 23:00 and shows up as accessible with SkyTeam status and Priority Pass, but recent flyers and major lounge guides barely mention it by name. That usually means either a quiet contract lounge behind airline branding, or a legacy name hanging around in databases after a refurb or operator change.

What is clear: if Sky Lounge exists in its listed form, you’ll find it airside in Terminal 2 after security, serving passengers on airlines still using the old international terminal while Terminal 3 handles most long-haul traffic. The published hours of 5:00–23:00 cover almost all regional departures from DAR, so early KQ/KLM/Air France connections and late-night hops to NBO or JRO should fall inside the operating window.

Access rules look straightforward on paper: SkyTeam elites and business-class passengers, plus Priority Pass cardholders, can walk in without extra payment during the 5:00–23:00 window, subject to space. If the front desk system still uses the Sky Lounge label, have your airline boarding pass and your Priority Pass or SkyTeam number ready, since some DAR agents still key things manually and may not immediately recognize the product name printed in your app.

No reliable menu, drink list, or seating photos surfaced for Sky Lounge, so assume a basic regional-contract setup: a few cold snacks, soft drinks, probably local beers, and patchy Wi‑Fi rather than a full restaurant. Prices for walk-up entry, if they even allow it, don’t show up in any recent reports, so budget assuming you’ll lean on your Priority Pass or airline-issued access instead of paying cash at the door.

Because Terminal 2 at DAR feels stripped-down compared with the newer Terminal 3, don’t plan your whole layover around Sky Lounge. With zero first-hand reports and only the 5:00–23:00 timetable and Priority Pass listing to go on, treat it as a bonus if it’s open and accepting cards. Practical move: build in 10–15 extra minutes before boarding to fall back to the public gate area if the lounge is full, closed, or hiding behind a different sign than “Sky Lounge.”
