Priority Pass Lounge

3 Open · 6 AM - 10 PM 50 seats

In Terminal 3, “Priority Pass Lounge” usually means the CIP lounge

At Julius Nyerere International Airport Terminal 3, Priority Pass access from 6:00 to 22:00 typically lands you in the same contract/CIP lounge used by many business-class passengers, not a separate branded Priority Pass space. Expect a shared facility rather than something with “Priority Pass Lounge” on the door.

The lounge sits airside in Terminal 3, so you need to clear security and passport control before heading there with your Priority Pass card or app QR code. Doors normally open around 6:00, which lines up with early regional departures, and stay open until 22:00 to cover most evening flights to hubs like Doha and Dubai.

Food tends to be basic at these DAR contract lounges, with light snacks instead of full hot meals, and soft drinks plus standard coffee rather than barista setups or premium spirits. Don’t walk in expecting a sprawling buffet or made-to-order menus; use it for a coffee, a quick bite, and Wi‑Fi while you wait for your boarding call.

Seating usually runs along standard armchairs and café tables, enough for a mid-morning wave of Priority Pass and business-class guests but tight when several widebody flights bank around 18:00–21:00. Outlets can be limited, so grab a seat near a working power point as soon as you plug in your phone or laptop.

Some contract lounges in DAR’s Terminal 3 offer shower access, but availability changes and may be restricted during busy evening banks after 19:00. If you really need a rinse after a Kilimanjaro or Serengeti connection, ask at check-in when you arrive; don’t assume showers will be free right before a 21:30 departure.

Pricing isn’t front-of-house because Priority Pass handles payment directly, but walk-ups without program access should expect a relatively high door rate in US dollars compared with buying a snack downstairs. If you’re paying per-visit via a bank-issued Priority Pass, use the full 2–3 hours before departure to get value instead of popping in for a 20‑minute email check.

Practical tip: DAR security and passport control for Terminal 3 can be slow at peak times, so aim to hit the checkpoint at least 90 minutes before departure if you want more than 30 minutes in the lounge with your Priority Pass access.
