Fly Bar

DAL’s terminal map shows Fly Bar, but reviews barely do

On most Dallas Love Field lists, Fly Bar pops up by name in terminal T, yet frequent flyers barely mention it on Reddit or FlyerTalk. That usually signals a small, serviceable drinks stop more than a destination spot. Expect a standard airport mix of beer, wine, and basic cocktails at prices in the usual $9–$16 range, rather than anything you’d plan a long layover around.

Fly Bar sits post-security in T, so you clear TSA once, then walk a few minutes from the main checkpoint toward the gate area. Think of it as a bar you pass on the way to your Southwest gate, not a sit-down restaurant that anchors a concourse. If you’re tight on time before a DAL departure, this matters more than hunting for a specific gate number.

Food options at Fly Bar rarely show up in online trip reports, which suggests a limited snack-style menu rather than full entrées. At Love Field, that usually means things like chips, maybe a pretzel, or a pre-made sandwich at airport pricing around $7–$14. If you actually want a proper meal before a 3-hour flight, plan to hit one of the main restaurants elsewhere in T and treat Fly Bar as a backup for a last drink.

Because there are no meaningful traveller complaints or consistent praise logged for Fly Bar, assume middle-of-the-road: not the worst spot in DAL, not the reason people talk about the airport. Seating is likely barstools plus a few small tables, with outlets hit-or-miss like much of terminal T. One practical move: check your gate, walk that direction, and only stop at Fly Bar if it’s directly on your path and you have at least 20 minutes before boarding starts.
