Gate-area bar in the small CZM terminal, not a shop
Margaritaville sits in Cozumel’s main post-security hall, one of just a couple of sit-down spots to park yourself with a drink while you wait to board. This is a bar/restaurant outpost more than a retail store, so think beer and cocktails at tables near the gates, not grab-and-go souvenirs.
After immigration and inspection, you’ll see several cafes clustered together; Margaritaville is the branded bar people mention in CZM reviews as their last stop before flights to US hubs like IAH and DFW. Hours roughly track the international departure bank, so it tends to open by mid-morning and wind down once the last flights of the day are boarding.
Menu is basic airport bar food: burgers, nachos, and similar, with drinks in the 150–300 MXN range depending on cocktail or beer size. Frequent CZM visitors on forums say prices feel steep compared with eating in town, and describe the food as “fine if you’re stuck,” not a destination meal. If you ate at your resort, you’re usually better off just grabbing a drink here.
Regulars often time it so they arrive at CZM already fed, then sit at Margaritaville for one last margarita or beer within sight of their specific gate, often 10–30 minutes before boarding. Watch out for auto-added service charges on the bill and double-check the peso amount before tapping your card.
Tip: If your flight leaves in under 45 minutes, skip ordering food and stick to a quick drink so you’re not sprinting to the gate with a tab still open.
