This former Concourse A pub brand is on the way out.
The Local Pub sits in Terminal A at CVG, but airport planning documents and local coverage say it’s being replaced by Taste of Belgium as part of a seven-concept refresh. If you still see The Local Pub on signage or your boarding pass app map, treat it as a holdover from an older food lineup rather than a long-term option.
Food here runs in the mid-airport range, with mains typically in the $12–$18 band when it was last widely reviewed, anchored around burgers, sandwiches, and bar snacks. Expect draft beer to land roughly in the $7–$10 range, similar to other Main Terminal and Concourse A bars at CVG. It functions as a sit-down spot near A-gates, so budget at least 45 minutes if you want a relaxed meal before boarding.
The concept leans into “local” in name, but reports tie it more to a generic pub template than a deep Cincinnati food story, which is likely why CVG is moving to Taste of Belgium in Concourse A instead. If your priority is a Cincinnati-specific dish, you’ll get more regional character from Taste of Belgium’s waffles and beer focus once the swap is complete than from The Local Pub’s older menu.
Because there are no fresh crowdsourced reviews tied to 2024 or later, assume operations may be in wind-down mode or already shuttered when you walk past A-gates. Check the airport’s current concessions list or the CVG map before counting on The Local Pub for a pre-flight meal. Practical move: if you don’t see updated hours posted at the entrance, pivot quickly to another Main Terminal or Concourse A option so you’re not stuck sprinting to your gate hungry.
