Old Wendy's listings for CUR are likely out of date

Trip-planning sites still mention a pre-security Wendy's at Curaçao International Airport, but current airport maps and tenant lists as of 2024 show no active Wendy's location. If you built your layover food plan around a Baconator before or after your flight, assume that option is gone and have a backup.

Wendy's, when it did operate at CUR, sat landside (pre-security), which meant anyone could eat there without a boarding pass. Now, the official CUR site highlights only a handful of food spots in the main terminal, none of which are American fast food chains like Wendy's, McDonald's, or Burger King. Expect local cafés and bar-style outlets instead of a dollar-menu stop.

The classic Wendy's Baconator runs about US$8–10 in many Caribbean airports, but you should not count on that pricing or that sandwich at CUR today. If you absolutely need a fast food fix, plan to eat in Willemstad beforehand, where international brands are easier to find, then arrive at the airport 2–2.5 hours before departure to clear check-in and security.

Since there is no current Wendy's inside security at CUR, you won’t be able to grab a burger between immigration and your gate. Current airside options lean more toward sandwiches, snacks, and drinks, and many close around the last evening departures, typically before 22:00. That timing matters for late flights to Amsterdam or the US if you were hoping for a last-minute meal.

Tip: Treat any online listing that still shows a Wendy's at CUR as legacy info. Check the official Curaçao Airport site a week before travel, and if you really want a Baconator, plan on getting it in town, not at the terminal.
