T2

Near the T2 gates, News and Books is the classic last-minute stop

News and Books sits airside in Terminal T2, handy if your flight boards from the domestic and charter gates on that side of Cancún International. It runs typical airport hours, roughly matching the first and last departures out of T2, so you’ll usually find it open from early morning through late evening. Think of it as the place to plug any gaps before you scan your boarding pass.

Expect Spanish and English magazines and newspapers, plus paperbacks that lean heavy on thrillers and beach reads, all priced at standard airport markup rather than downtown rates. You’ll also see basic stationery, crosswords, and kids’ activity books that actually help on a 3–4 hour flight to the US or within Mexico. If you need a simple gift, there are branded bookmarks and small souvenirs under about US$10 equivalent.

Snacks and drinks lean toward packaged items you can throw straight into a cabin bag. Single bottles of water, soft drinks, and a few energy drinks sit near the register; figure on paying about 30–60 MXN per item. This isn’t a specialty café, so don’t come here expecting espresso drinks or fresh sandwiches; think chips, candy bars, and gum to get you through boarding and taxi-out.

One practical tip: if your gate in T2 is in the higher numbers, stop here before you walk down the longer pier, as there may be only vending machines closer to the end of the concourse.
