Gate-side Duty Free in CUN T4
Right after security in Terminal 4, Duty Free sits on the main path to the international gates, so you almost can’t miss it on the way to boarding. This is the main spot in T4 for last-minute liquor, perfume, and chocolates before flights to the US, Canada, and Europe.
Liquor prices here usually sit a bit under US airport duty free, with 1L tequila bottles often in the US$25–45 range depending on brand. You’ll see all the big Mexican tequila and mezcal labels plus standard global whisky, gin, and vodka. Watch for 2-for deals on mid-range tequila and rum; they rotate by brand but are common on weekends.
Cosmetics and fragrances line the central aisles, with big counters for Dior, Lancôme, and Estée Lauder, and large 50–100 ml eau de parfum bottles frequently promo’d in multipacks. Expect full retail or just under, not outlet-style pricing. If you care about exact shades or formulations, screenshot your products before the trip; staff are helpful but shelves get busy when several wide-body departures bank around the same hour.
Food and souvenirs skew to branded chocolates, Toblerone, Lindt, and Mexican sweets in multi-pack boxes sized for carry-ons. Most boxes hit the US$10–25 band, and some are labeled 3-for-2. Check weight and packaging size against your airline’s cabin baggage rules, especially on low-cost carriers in T4 like Frontier and Southwest.
Final tip: if your gate in T4 is in the high 40s or 50s, shop here first; walking back from the end of the pier can cost you 10–15 minutes each way.
