Chow Tai Fook

T2

T2’s Chow Tai Fook is the main stop for branded jewelry

Right in Terminal T2 at Chengdu Shuangliu, Chow Tai Fook focuses on gold and diamond pieces rather than souvenir trinkets. Expect classic Chinese gold designs, simple chains, and small pendants, all in a bright, high-end storefront. It’s the place you go if you want a recognisable Hong Kong jewelry name before boarding, not a duty-free perfume run.

Prices sit in true jewelry-store territory, not airport gift-shop levels, with many items in the several-thousand-RMB range. Staff usually quote prices in RMB first, but you can ask about UnionPay, major credit cards, and sometimes Alipay/WeChat Pay. Don’t expect big “airport-only” discounts; think city-mall pricing moved into T2.

Chow Tai Fook T2 mainly carries smaller, travel-safe pieces: earrings, rings, slim bracelets, and light necklaces that fit easily in a carry-on. Stones are typically modest sizes, so you aren’t dealing with bulky boxes at gate check. If you want something large or bespoke, this isn’t a full flagship; selection is tighter than a downtown Chengdu branch.

Staff in T2 often deal with outbound international passengers, so they’re used to quick stops between security and boarding. If you’re on a tight connection under 45 minutes, skip browsing; jewelry buying here still takes paperwork, payment steps, and careful packing. Give yourself at least 20–30 minutes if you think you might actually buy.

Tip: screenshot today’s gold price in RMB per gram before you walk over, then compare in-store so you know exactly how strong (or weak) the deal is.
