JAL PLAZA

Just past JAL domestic security, this is the branded shop

JAL PLAZA sits airside in the Domestic terminal, positioned along the path most JAL passengers walk after security toward the gates. It functions as JAL’s own shop, so the mix leans heavily into JAL-branded goods alongside regional items. You’ll see the red crane logo on bags, tags, and small gifts that run roughly ¥500–¥2,000, plus standard travel odds and ends you might have forgotten.

The shelves skew toward Hokkaido sweets more than the generic airport gift stores one level below. Think Shiroi Koibito–style cookies, butter sand, and assorted chocolate boxes in the ¥800–¥2,500 range, sized for easy carry-on. Compared with Sapporo city supermarkets, prices run higher, but they’re roughly in line with other CTS souvenir shops in Domestic. This is more “airport gift pricing” than bargain hunting.

Hours usually track domestic JAL operations, opening from around the first bank of morning departures to the last evening flights, so roughly 8:00–20:30; don’t count on late-night shopping after the final JAL departures. There’s a small section of basic travel items like neck pillows, eye masks, and clear liquid bags, useful if you rushed through New Chitose Station and skipped convenience stores.

Watch out for bulky omiyage boxes: some Hokkaido assortment packs here are big enough that two will crowd a standard 22-inch carry-on. If you only have one domestic segment before heading home, buy here and skip another stop in the public shopping area. Quick tip: grab sweets at JAL PLAZA, then pick up drinks at the nearest airport vending machine to avoid paying drink markups inside the shop.
