After T2 security, Bar T2 is one of just three options
Once you clear security in Terminal 2 at Charleroi, Bar T2 is part of the tiny bar cluster that also includes Airport Bar 28 and Charles’ Brewing Company. It sits airside in T2, past security, and runs roughly with the flight schedule from about 04:00 to 23:00. Think basic airport bar: drinks, simple snacks, and a place to sit before an early Ryanair departure.
Prices sit in the mid-range for Belgium airport standards, so expect €5–€7 beers and snacks that quickly add up if you build a meal out of them. The food side is limited: packaged sandwiches, bags of crisps, maybe a pastry or two depending on the time of day. If you want a proper hot meal, do it in town or in T1 landside before heading over to T2.
Regulars on early Ryanair flights report aiming for security right after it opens around 04:00 so they can grab a quick coffee or their first beer at Bar T2 before boarding. Others who know T2 well stop at a supermarket on the way to the airport and then just buy one drink at the bar, using their own snacks to dodge airport markups.
Watch out for the closing time: multiple SleepingInAirports reviews say these T2 bars shut once the last flights go, often between 22:00 and 23:00. After that, there is no 24-hour café or bar airside, which catches late or delayed passengers by surprise. If your flight arrives late or you have a long evening layover, eat and drink earlier landside or in T1.
Tip: on a first-wave departure (around 06:00–07:00), clear T2 security early and plan on Bar T2 for a coffee or beer only; bring your own food if you want more than a basic snack.
