New on the COS concourse: Mountain View Food and Spirits
Fresh in the City of Colorado Springs Airport Terminal 1 lineup, Mountain View Food and Spirits is part of the SSP America concession build-out announced in late 2023. It sits post-security with the other new concepts, aimed at giving COS a more local feel than the old generic bar-and-grill setups.
Menu details are still thin, but contract documents list it as a full “Food and Spirits” concept, so expect a sit-down spot with a liquor license rather than just counter service. Pricing at similar SSP America airport bars runs around $9–$14 for drafts and $14–$22 for mains, which is a fair guess here until the final menu and tap list go live.
Hours typically track the first and last bank of flights, so figure opening around the 5:00–5:30 a.m. departures and closing near the final evening departures after 9:00 p.m. Once it’s fully up and running, this should be one of the few spots at COS where you can sit with a proper drink instead of racing back to the gate with a paper cup.
Because Mountain View Food and Spirits is so new, there are basically zero flyer reviews yet—no strong dish to chase, no clear misses to avoid. For now, treat it as the airport test kitchen: order something simple like a burger or breakfast plate first visit, and only move to pricier steak or seafood once COS regulars start reporting back.
Practical play: COS is a small airport with 12 gates, so you’re rarely more than a five-minute walk from anywhere in Terminal 1. Grab a table at Mountain View Food and Spirits with your boarding pass already pulled up, watch the screens, and walk out when your flight hits “boarding” plus five minutes.”
