Gate-side option in T3, domestic departures
Lila's Kitchen sits airside in Cochin’s T3 domestic wing, so you clear security first, then eat. It’s a sit-down space but close enough to the gates that you can keep an eye on boarding screens without stress. Figure 45–60 minutes here if you want a relaxed meal before IndiGo or Akasa flights out of COK.
Pricing lands in the mid-range for an Indian airport: mains typically run ₹250–₹450, tea and coffee around ₹80–₹150, and basic snacks under ₹200. Portions lean generous compared with some other T3 outlets, so one main and one shared snack often works for two light eaters before an evening departure.
Menu focus is Indian comfort food plus the usual airport crowd-pleasers. You’ll see South Indian staples like dosa, idli, and uttapam alongside North Indian curries, biryanis, and some simple sandwiches. If your flight is in the early morning bank, idli or dosa is usually quicker to arrive than made-to-order gravies that can take 15–20 minutes.
Expect standard airport drinks rather than a craft bar: machine coffee, masala chai, soft drinks, and bottled juices. A basic coffee runs around ₹120, while tea is closer to ₹90. If you’re landing thirsty from a late-night arrival, grabbing a large bottled water here is still cheaper than many hotel minibars in Kochi.
Service pace varies by bank of flights; during the 6–9 a.m. rush, you might wait 10–20 minutes for cooked items, while mid-afternoon windows can see food on the table in under 10 minutes. Staff usually flag if something like biryani or a tandoor item will take longer, which matters when boarding for a 737 turns around in roughly 25–30 minutes.
One practical tip: if your boarding pass shows a bus gate in T3, ask your server for the bill as soon as your food arrives; bus boarding at COK often starts a solid 10–15 minutes earlier than jet bridge flights.
