T3 Open · 24/7 ★ 4.5 $$$$ Post-security

Row of perfumes opposite Gate 20 in T3 runs 24/7

Duty-Free Shop in Terminal T3 sits airside after security, right in the main international departures hall, and it never closes – lights on and staff present 24/7. You walk through the liquor and perfume section immediately after immigration and security, before the split toward Gates 18–23.

Prices land in the $$$ bracket, so expect higher-end spirits, fragrances, and cosmetics rather than bargain-bin finds. You’ll see global brands on the shelves: Johnnie Walker, Chivas, Absolut, plus the usual Dior, Chanel, and Lancôme counters. Chocolate walls carry Lindt, Toblerone, and Ferrero in 400 g to 1 kg boxes, often in “2 for” airport multipacks.

The shop holds a 4.5 rating in recent reviews, mostly for product range and quick billing at peak late-night departure banks around 01:00–04:00. Alcohol limits follow Indian customs rules, so plan around the standard 2-liter allowance when flying into India, and watch the per-passenger limits posted near the cash counters.

Cigarettes and cigars sit in a separate glass-front section with clear per-carton pricing in INR and USD. Liquor prices are marked in two currencies as well, so you can compare against what you saw downtown in Kochi or at your origin airport. Fragrance testers are available at several islands, handy if you have 20–30 minutes before boarding at Gate 19 or Gate 21.

There’s no publicized “what regulars do” pattern here, but frequent flyers often grab chocolates and small 200 ml whisky bottles as easy gifts for family pickups outside COK’s T3 arrivals. With security already cleared, you can shop right up until boarding calls start echoing around your gate.

Tip: If you want real browsing time, walk the Duty-Free Shop immediately after immigration instead of waiting until the final boarding call for your flight from T3.
