Business Lounge

T2 Open · 24/7 25 seats showers Day pass Rs. 1,500

Most blogs just say “Cochin domestic lounge” and stop there.

This actual spot is simply called Business Lounge in Terminal T2, sitting airside after security for domestic departures. It runs 24/7, so it’s one of the few constants in COK if you land on a 03:00 IndiGo arrival and connect onward.

Access is straightforward: domestic Business Class passengers usually walk in on their boarding pass, and everyone else can pay a Rs. 1,500 day pass at the door. That price point puts it in the “cheaper than killing three hours in the food court with coffee and snacks” bracket, especially for a family of two or three.

Figure on the usual Indian domestic lounge template: hot buffet items, tea and filter coffee, basic soft drinks, and likely a couple of desserts, all included in that Rs. 1,500 fee. Alcohol policies shift a lot in southern domestic terminals, so don’t count on a full bar at 10:00 on a Tuesday; assume self-serve tea and coffee are the safe bet at all hours.

Seats tend to be closer together than in T3 international lounges at COK, and power outlets in Indian domestic terminals often trail demand, so treat every free socket as a win. With T2 handling domestic flows, expect peak crowding around the 07:00–10:00 and 18:00–21:00 bank of departures when queues at nearby gates snake into the concourse.

If your layover is under 60 minutes gate-to-gate, the math on a Rs. 1,500 walk‑in fee gets shaky, especially given boarding for many domestic flights at COK can start a full 40 minutes before departure. Over a two‑hour sit, the day pass cost usually beats buying separate meals and drinks outside.

Watch your time: security for T2 can swell to 20–30 minutes in the morning push, and some remote stands still use buses. Work backwards from a D‑40 boarding time, and plan to leave the lounge at least 50 minutes before departure if your gate isn’t posted yet.

One practical play: if you’re paying the Rs. 1,500 fee, arrive at COK at least 2.5 hours ahead, clear T2 security without dawdling, and then make the lounge your base for a proper hot meal, charging stop, and restroom break before heading to the gate.
