CMH’s Vino Volo flies under the radar in Terminal T
This Vino Volo sits past security in Terminal T at John Glenn Columbus International Airport and functions like the rest of the chain: a compact wine bar with by-the-glass pours and small plates. It doesn’t show up much in CMH trip reports, but the logo is there, the bar is stocked, and it’s a step up from grabbing a soda at the newsstand by gate T1.
Wine flights here usually run in the mid-teens to low-$20 range, with single glasses often landing around $10–$15 depending on the label. The list leans on California reds and familiar Sauvignon Blanc/Chardonnay picks, plus a few European bottles. Expect cheese plates, charcuterie, and flatbreads priced roughly in the $10–$18 band, similar to other Vino Volo locations you might have seen in larger hubs.
Hours track with CMH’s bank of departures: early opening around the first wave of morning flights and closing around the last evening push, roughly 5:00 a.m. to 8:00–9:00 p.m., though exact times slide with the schedule. If your departure out of T is between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., you’ve got the best shot at finding the bar fully staffed and the kitchen still doing food.
Menu logic is simple: stick to wine and cold items. Cheese and meat boards handle a 45-minute sit nicely, and a three-pour flight pairs well with a 60–90 minute layover. Hot items and sandwiches at chain wine bars can be hit-or-miss, and at CMH you’re not sacrificing much by walking to a nearby T-gate fast-casual spot if you want a full, hot meal.
Tip: Seats are limited, so if you see two open stools while walking past gates in Terminal T, grab them first and look at the menu second; the space can fill fast during the 4:00–6:00 p.m. bank of departures.
