CNBC Smart Shop

Near the Main Atrium security lanes, this is your grab-and-go newsstand

CNBC Smart Shop in CLT’s Main terminal sits just past the central security area, handy if your gate isn’t set yet and you’re still in the atrium. It functions as the standard airport news and snack stop: magazines, bottled drinks, quick sweets, and basic travel gear. Signage is hard to miss thanks to the CNBC logo and TV screens running business news on loop.

Hours typically track early-morning departures, opening before 5:30 a.m. on heavy schedule days and staying open into the late-evening banks that run past 9:00 p.m. Stock skews toward grab-and-go snacks and single-serve drinks, with prices in the usual airport range: think $3–4 for bottled water and $4–6 for chips or candy. You’ll also see neck pillows, basic earbuds, phone chargers, and a few under-$20 gadgets by the counter.

Selection covers standard national magazines and a mix of business titles tied to CNBC, plus a wall of logo items and last-minute gifts. Expect the usual gum, mints, and protein bars near the register. The shop is post-security in the Main terminal, so you can buy drinks and walk straight to any A, B, C, D, or E gate without another checkpoint. Staff can usually ring up a snack-and-drink combo in under two minutes if there isn’t a boarding rush.

Lines spike right after TSA opens in the morning and again around the 4:00–6:00 p.m. departure wave, so plan a quick stop either immediately after you clear security or once you see your gate on the screens. One simple move: grab water and a charger here before you head down a long concourse where options thin out toward the far-end E and D gates.
